Dear Faculty and Staff,
This has been an extraordinary week-end of adult learning at SSIS! I was very proud of the professionalism of our faculty, the dedication to life-long learning, and commitment to continuous growth evident in every session and every conversation. Thank you all for fully engaging in the In-House Institute and the Early Years Conference. I know our students, and students of the other 170 attendees on campus, will greatly benefit.
Special thanks to Curriculum Director, David Chadwell for magnificently managing the Herculean task of organizing two major events on the same week-end. And, special thanks and recognition to his assistant Trinh Ngoc Tuyet Le and and to events coordinator Ha Vo Tran, without whom essential logistics may have been overlooked. Thank you to Alison Leathwood and Kelly Braun for arranging the wellness activities to start our day. And, thanks to the IT department who appeared to be everywhere at once.
Congratulations to our In-House Institute presenters. In every session I observed, you were well-prepared, informative and engaging. World-class quality!
Feedback on the Early Years Conference (EYC) was so positive that despite challenges of construction, we committed to again host and organize the 2020 EYC. Such a successful event is only possible because of the dedication of individuals such as Planning Committee members (Charlotte Cannell, Tina Ratliff, Tim Dorn, Ray Ayache, Megan Vandeventer, Elaine Eastwood, Amy Barrett, Susan Wagstaff, David Chadwell and James (Thinh Tang) (who orchestrated the magnificent social).
Thank you all. Have a great week!
