106. Update on Some Services Resuming

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Today, we received a new directive, 3072/UBND-VX, addressing a few changes from September 16 – 30. However, there remains considerable ambiguity. As we receive greater clarification, we will let you know more.

Also, as you may be wondering, today’s directive did not indicate when schools will be able to welcome students back on campus.

What we were able to extract from this directive was:

1. D7 – Grocery shopping is allowed one time per week

The directive mentions “QR code green pass,” but as it is unclear what is meant, we recommend that you carry a photo of your vaccination certificates or your vaccine passport. If one store does not accept your documentation, try another.

Currently, there is no additional information about how the authorities will monitor once-a-week grocery shopping. Your building management may have more information. If they do not, we leave it to your discretion until they can provide you with further guidance or until we have more information.

2. Restaurants are allowed to sell takeaway (delivery via apps/online only)

Although published, we still need further clarification on a few factors mentioned and how they will work:

  • Outdoor sports activities in parks and residential areas are allowed with a permit.

  • Travel across districts requires a permit (must be granted by police)

Below in this email, you will find the graphic that was so kindly shared earlier today in the Dragon Unity Whatsapp group. You may find it helpful, as it clearly illustrates some of the wording in the directive. However, as I mentioned, there’s still considerable ambiguity, so please keep that in mind. We’ve only been able to confirm what we shared with you above.

We are also exploring how we can get faculty and staff on campus to access essential materials.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will continue to keep you updated as we have more confirmed information.

All good wishes,

Catriona
