Coronavirus Update: Virtual School refinements

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I wanted to share the letter which we have just sent to parents.

Additionally, after considering your feedback on Virtual School and how best we can support you in delivering this exceptional online program we have decided to make an adjustment to your work day hours. As of tomorrow, working hours will be from 8 am to 3 pm (except for the few whose supervisors indicate otherwise).

Your divisional principal will share further refinements to Virtual School with you early this week.

Dear SSIS Parents,

In preparation for our extended two weeks of school closure, the school leadership team met during the weekend to go over the feedback that parents, and students, have given regarding their Virtual School experiences so far.

We have made refinements and will carry on making adjustments, as long as Virtual School replaces on-campus schooling for our students, to ensure that we meet their needs. Early this week, you will be receiving information from your divisional leadership team explaining the changes in greater detail.

We understand the challenges that Virtual School puts on our community and will continue to work with you to provide our students with an exemplary online learning experience.

Last week, we wrote about the video panel discussion with medical professionals, Dr. Mason Cobb, President of Victoria Healthcare International, and our Nursing Educator & Consultant, Lisa Chute, as well as Associate Head of School, Finance & Operations, Wai Mun Fong.
