Mask-Wearing Protocols relaxed from Monday, September 12
|Dear Faculty and Staff,
I hope you are having a wonderfully relaxing Sunday. And, thank you all for making the Family Fun Day such an enormous success! It was truly a joy to see our community come together.
As you see in the message to parents, beginning tomorrow, Monday, September 12, masks are optional. This means that adults and students will no longer be required to wear a mask at school.
However, I think it is important for us all to be aware that this is an individual choice and while masks are no longer required by law, we will remain sensitive and respectful of everyone’s individual choice to mask or not mask.
When are masks required:
- On the school bus
- If entering the Health Office with flu or Covid symptoms
- By cafe, cafeteria, and kiosk staff when serving food or drinks
Other notes:
- Masks are not required in assemblies, meetings, or in the auditorium (regardless of room size or headcount)
- We will maintain the plexiglass in the cafeteria at this time as the situation could change.
- Food can be served at meetings
At this time, HCMC is at level 1, the most relaxed level. However, should this designation change, we will be sure to let you know. In the meantime, let’s enjoy this positive step forward, after all this time.
All good wishes,
Dr. Catriona Moran
Head of School
