May 31 – June 4

3CC on a Friday Morning! 🙂

Congratulations on completing Week 3, Round 2 of Virtual School for this year. As we head into the final two weeks of school let’s all look after ourselves and each other as best we can. I came across this checklist for kids and I thought it pertains to us adults too. Have a look and see what speaks to you.

We can do this. And we can do this well!

CURRENT UPDATES:

1) What is the expectation for teachers completing pass-up folders?

  • Pass-up folders should still be completed according to the original format, but the expectations for the due date are modified.
  • If you are terminating your employment with SSIS, you must complete all pass-up folders according to the original format in order to be signed off on the exit procedures.
  • If you are continuing your employment with SSIS, you may come into school and complete them now, come in over the summer to complete them, or at the latest, complete them by August 3, 2021.

2) What is the expectation for teachers who are moving rooms?

  • Rooms should still be packed up according to the original plans, but there are two options.
  • If you want to pack up your room yourself, you must complete this process before June 15, 2021.  Doing this process yourself will ensure that your materials are handled in the way you want.
  • After June 15, 2021, if you do not pack up your room yourself, all contents of your room will be boxed up by cleaners and delivered to the new location.  Choosing this process will most likely lead to your materials being handled and organized in a way that may not meet your personal preferences.

3) When do students need to return materials (like iPads, instruments, etc.) and receive materials (like yearbooks)?

  • We will not be requiring parents and students to return or pick-up materials until the government discouragement of non-essential movement is lifted.

4) Are there any changes to expectations for Progress Reports?

  • No.  Progress reports continue to be due as scheduled: completed by Monday, June 7.  We will do final spot checks, conversion to PDF, send to tech department, and they will arrange for mass electronic distribution on June 11.

5) Are any elementary teachers leaving early?

  • Three elementary teachers have requested to leave early.  They are completing their report cards and end of year exit procedures before their early departure is approved.  If any of them miss synchronous instruction due to transit, they must take those days as unpaid leave and will still arrange for coverage.

6) Are we still doing End of Year Evaluation Meetings?

  • Yes, these are staying as scheduled.  If you are off campus, and have not personally signed your permission form, we will send you an email so you can electronically confirm you have received your end of year evaluation and had your meeting.

Please let us know if you have any other questions, or need any support.

Cover Teacher Update: Currently, we have three cover teachers in place to finish the school year.

Ms. Chelsey Cashwell is covering for Ana in G4AF
