Learning 2.0 Coming Next Year
|Dear Faculty –
We’ve been waiting to make the announcement until this year’s conference in Manila was completed, but we can now announce that Learning 2.0 will be making it’s way to Vietnam next year. Saigon South International School will host the conference here in Saigon 6-8 October 2016.
We have many people to thank for this group effort in landing another major conference here at SSIS. David Perkin and the TLFs (Robert Appino, Alfredo Papaseit, Jeff Ratliff and Jeff Nesmith) have worked hard to both give us the hardware infrastructure and embed technology in the curriculum in authentic and visible ways to raise our exposure. Robert and Alfredo have also become the first two Apple Distinguished Educators in Vietnam—even before Apple even has a full-fledged store in the country. Tina Fossgreen has worked tirelessly with curriculum as well, but has also been instrumental in our outreach to professional development opportunities across a broad spectrum of initiatives. Wai Mun Fong has overseen extensive upgrades to campus, first and foremost for our students and faculty, but also with an eye towards our outreach to the larger international school world. To each of these individuals who worked together to bring Learning 2.0 to SSIS, I would like to say “thank you.”
There will be a lot more to do before we’re ready to host Learning 2.0 next fall, and now that we are able to publicly announce the news, we look forward to making it more of a collective effort with you, our faculty.
Sincerely,
Mark
