CLEANING THE HOUSE
Supplies — any cleaner or disinfectant that you normally use.
Clean frequently touched areas — bathroom faucet, toilet handle, door handles, main door handle to house/ apartment, light switches, AC button, TV remote, dining table, desk/ table where do homework.
Kitchen counters and food preparation areas need to be clean because the food goes in your mouth.
Wash dishes with detergent and water — make sure enough scrubbing with detergent (soap suds) to loosen food (that you can see) and viruses (that you cannot see). Pay special attention to cutlery and glasses because people put their lips on these. Rinse with water. Air dry is best if you have space. Don’t put dishes away until they are dry.
If someone in the house is sick then I add an extra step with a diluted solution of 10% bleach to rinse the cutlery and glasses. Then rinse again with water.
Special note Wash your hands after putting away groceries.
