Wellbeing Journal-Planner
|It is always nice to get some validation for our work here at SSIS. The folks at the Institute of Positive Education are packaging a couple of our PRIME strategies (i.e., journaling and planner) into a new teaching/learning product. This connects to our PRIME strategy of using school planners to integrate wellness into our teaching. One can bet that their diary/planner will be filled with prompts, graphics and other structures to help students reflect and deepen their understanding of wellness.
Here are a few of their listed strategies:
-
vital information designed to enhance their wellbeing,
-
a ‘Top Tip’ to help them act on this information,
-
scannable QR codes so they can watch related video content,
-
a thematic song to listen to,
-
a ‘Random Act of Kindness’ idea,
-
space for notes and drawing,
-
mindfulness colouring,
-
an inspiring quote,
-
space to write 3 good things that happened that week,
-
smiley-face mood tracker to circle to summarise how they feel about their week, and
-
a sleep tracker to note how many hours of sleep they’re getting each night.
