Thank You to all who participated in the DOET & HTV recording today

Dear Faculty and Staff,

The Department of Education and Training (DOET) and HCMC TV channel (HTV) visited SSIS to film a series of classes, activities, and environments this morning. The campus looked spectacular, students were engaged, and there was an atmosphere of calmness and positivity and a strong community feel.

I am very grateful to all of you who were, mostly with a few minutes warning, asked to allow filming in your classes. Your participation and flexibility were greatly appreciated. These relationships mean a great deal to our school, and your support was vital.

Regina Katz (who participated in an interview), Lennox Meldrum, Albert Reidak Pena, Leif Larson, Nick Hayward, Alison Leathwood, and Ms. Mai whose classes were videoed. And thank you, Wanda Luinenburg and Danial Hogg, who were recorded in their dynamic work space. Thank you to Oanh, Ms. Thu, and Tanya, who successfully orchestrated the visit.

We will be sure to let you know where and when SSIS might be viewed on TV.

On a different note, we hosted a very successful joint Head of School/PTA coffee this morning. We had outstanding attendance, and the resounding comments from parents were that their children have experienced a very positive start to the school year, there is a strong community spirit, and they are excited about the future.

It was another great day to be a Dragon! Thank you for all that you do to make SSIS a fantastic school and community.
