Solidarity Trial
|On March 18 the WHO announced the creation of the international SOLIDARITY Trial to study which treatments are most effective against COVID-19. As of April 21, over 100 countries have joined the Solidarity Trial to study four specific treatment options.
Clinical trials normally take years to design and conduct; the Solidarity Trial will reduce the time taken by 80%. There are more than 1100 small studies taking place now on these medication treatments: Remdesivir, interferon beta1a, Lopinavir/Ritonovir, and Chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine.
Currently Vietnam is participating in two of these trials, including one trial on Chloroquine.
