Happy Monday! 

Shout-outs are not only a great way for us to recognize our colleagues, but also a way for us to stay informed about some of the things that happen beyond our classrooms and division. In no particular order, shout-outs this week go to:
*     The Grade 1 & the Grade 3 teams for engaging parents & students in impactful student-led unit celebrations.  
*     Marjon for integrating organic shapes and germ art into the Grade 1 health/science curriculum.
*     Ms. Mai for organizing a terrific PD session for teaching assistants.
*     Mr. James, Ms. Khanh, Ms. Thao, and Mr. Binh for being leaders for TAs teaching TAs
*     Melissa, Heidi and Lucinda for covering Jason while he is away.
*     Brian for above and beyond efforts to provide extra services for a student of concern.
*     Tina F, Kattina, Amy, Mandy, Dan, Melanie, Tara, Elaine, Melissa, Alan, Jason and Greg for planning/presenting at L2.

Parent conferences are this Thursday and Friday. Food and carbonated drinks are on order for Thursday PM. Please head down to the faculty space from 4PM onward to refuel.  To help supervise children not involved in conferences, specialist TAs and EC TAs are assigned to playground coverage, see coverage schedule. After conferences, please take a moment to complete this form so we know how many students had parents come to conferences. 

Last week was a busy one in the office for student discipline issues. It must be a signal that the students, along with their teachers, are ready for a break. I am happy to support as needed with student discipline concerns. Wishing you all a great week – Roxanne
