Dear ES Team,

Thank you for your patience and flexibility regarding our restroom issue this week.  Hopefully, the permanent pipe repair will be completed over the weekend!

Our food committee met this week—we are looking forward to continuing the efforts initiated by past members. We also appreciate your continued feedback. We are pleased that Fun Fruit World has agreed to offer smaller size smoothies for our students—these small sizes are a little less expensive and a lot more practical.  For divisional consistency, we would like to suggest that we guide the children to eat their lunch before purchasing smoothies.  

Reminders:

• We are noticing some student congestion between the two lunch periods. In order to avoid this minor chaos, please keep the 4^th and 5^th graders in the lunch room until 11:30am.
• Please remember to send me any grade level Super Unit (or other relevant) news for our ES E-board. I just need a line or two. If you have any pictures, I can add them, too! I need to submit the slides by Thursday afternoon!
• Please remind your students not to play with the rubber surface under the spiderweb. There are plans to resurface this area over winter break.
• Please let me know if you are interested in mentoring student teacher Alison Gingerich this spring. I will be acting as her supervisor and will be formally observing her along with you. (George Fox will pay an honorarium to the cooperative teacher at the completion of the placement). Allison comes highly recommended from Jay and Erin Johnson.
• Please let me know if you are willing to have Angelo Pera (SSIS class of 2017) intern with you for a short period of time (potentially allowing him to have 3 different experiences) starting after September 12. I hope we will be able to extend this learning opportunity to a recent graduate!
• We are beginning to put yearbook picture folders together, please remember to book our school photographer if you have a special event.
