May 7-11
Dear ES Team,
Last week was a short week, but a busy one! Thank you to our Early Childhood team for hosting colleagues from JNAS (Jia Xing School). Our visitors were very grateful for the opportunity to observe our school in action and engage in professional dialogue throughout their two-day visit. Faculty Follies was fabulous last night! Thank you to everyone who gave—in time, talent, and/or treasure to make this a successful fundraiser for a worthy cause! I am awe of both the talent and teamwork on our campus!
Teachers have been asked to complete a Charlotte Danielson Feedback form as part of the TA evaluation this year and should be giving the feedback to me this week. Next year, this form will be completed in December, so that it becomes a catalyst for professional growth during the second semester. This year (because it’s so late in the year), we have not required the teachers to meet with the TA’s. If you would like to review the feedback with your TA, this is optional this year—next December it will be part of the annual process. I appreciate your patience during this transitional year–and I am looking forward to implementing a smooth evaluation process next school year.
I have added TA observations to my calendar all this week and should be completing teacher observations by the following week.
ERB testing continues this week—although the first days were a bit stressful, it seems that things should be smoother this week!:)
Have a great week!
Cheers,
Donna
