Dear ES Team,

Last week ended with our SSIS community celebrating this festive season with music, lights, and laughter    Our campus was a busy one all day–from an amazing musical performance (thank you Nikki and Raye) to the tree lighting ceremony and holiday bazaar, to our Dragon Friendship Fun Night (thank you Jeremy!).

This week will be busy, but our winter break in on the horizon!  Don’t forget, Catriona has invited us to celebrate the season at her home on Friday afternoon!

Important info:

• We need to submit all payment request and Red invoice before December 13, 2018 to claim money. Any Red invoices which are dated in 2018 cannot be claimed in 2019.
• We will no longer be purchasing disposable batteries, please see Truc for rechargeable batteries.

Reminders:

• Please remind your students to use the entrance to Little Dragon’s Park.  Do not try to climb or jump over the fences!

Announcements:

• David Carpenter and Dave Curran have been working to create podcasts. Please listen to the latest Ed Tech Co-Op podcast with Jeremy speaking to the value of democratic class meetings.
• Please let me know if you are interested in mentoring a student teacher during the second semester.  The University will provide the host teacher a $500 stipend.
• If you are interested in presenting at VTC, please speak to David Curran– he can help you fill out the application.
  • We are encouraging teachers and TA’s to attend this conference, please let us know if you are interested (January 26-27)
• Please remember to book our school photographer if you have a special event.
