Congratulations Gr.5 for a fantastic week without walls experience. I forgot how much can be accomplished in such a short amount of time. Being able to go on the trip with G5 was a good reminder about why our powerful learning experiences are so important to the work we do. There were so many examples but the two that stuck out the most to me were the follwing.

A student told Ms. Mary that if we just all listened to nature and the sounds in nature we would have a lot more peace in the world.

Another student exclaimed “Where did all these stars come from? I never knew there were so many.”

The time and effort we put into creating these experiences is not just a launching pad for learning. It is an event that can change the course of a students passion for learning. I’m sure every grade level has had similar experiences. Thank you for taking the time to think about these moments so deeply.

And a special shoutout to Mr. Binh for all the hard work he put into making this trip and every field trip an incredible event.

International Day Information

Greetings from the PTA!

We are organizing an event called “SSIS International Day” to celebrate our diverse community on Saturday, March 25th 2-5pm. I am writing not only to invite you to attend but to help in organizing this special event together with the parents. Each community will be organizing food stalls and arranging performances and activities for its students. If you think you can help represent your country, please contact us (ptaes@ssis.edu.vn) and we can discuss the details further.
