May 15th – May 19th

We are 4 short and long weeks from the end of school. This time of year we always have one foot in this year and one foot in net year. We continue to place students in class creator for next year, while still working with our students this year. We are finalizing our master schedule for next year, while working in this years schedule for the next few weeks. Our colleagues are selling items as they prepare to leave and also living in the moment as their time winds down. It is ok to exist in both places as we begin each of our transitions. Some students are also transitioning and we need to remember the big feelings and emotions that come with that. Some of them are also coming to school with one foot in and one foot out. Please give them the space they might need as they wrestle with the emotions of transitioning and change. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you as all of these transitions are happening.

LUNCH AWARENESS

Teachers have been noticing more and more students opting to not eat anything at lunch or just eating some bread. Other students are trying to sneak out to play again rather than eat. Please remind all students about the importance of eating and the need to slow down and replenish their energy. If you run into any issues please let me know.
