Congratulations Gr.5 for a fantastic week without walls experience. I forgot how much can be accomplished in such a short amount of time. Being able to go on the trip with G5 was a good reminder about why our powerful learning experiences are so important to the work we do.
The time and effort we put into creating these experiences is not just a launching pad for learning. It is an event that can change the course of a student’s passion for learning. I’m sure every grade level has had similar experiences. Thank you for taking the time to think about these moments so deeply.
And a special shoutout to Mr. Binh for all the hard work he put into making this trip and every field trip an incredible event.
This week our parents will be taking part in some powerful learning experiences as they learn about standards-based grading and reporting, and the habits of a learner from our three divisional leaders on Tuesday. They will get a glimpse into the hard work you all do to make sure our students are ready for middle and high school.
This week both Melanie and Edward will be off campus on Friday. Catriona will be the administrator in charge with support from Shawn and Lance. We will both be available by phone or text.
