Feb. 24th – 28th

Congratulations, Grade 5, on a fantastic Week Without Walls experience!

This trip was a powerful reminder of just how much can be accomplished in such a short time. Being able to join G5 on this journey reinforced the importance of the learning experiences we create and why they are so essential to our work.

The time and effort we invest in these opportunities are more than just a launchpad for learning—they have the potential to ignite a lifelong passion for exploration and discovery. These moments can shape a student’s confidence, curiosity, and sense of adventure in ways that extend far beyond the classroom.

And of course, a special shoutout to Mr. Binh for his tireless efforts in making this trip—and every field trip—an unforgettable experience for our students. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed!

Thank you to everyone who contributes to making these experiences meaningful. The impact of these moments will stay with our students for years to come.

EKC on Campus this week

We are excited to welcome Meredith Spragg on Monday for our EY EKC 2-day PD! Meredith brings a wealth of experience and passion for inquiry, playful learning, child-centered education, and research-based practices. The PD will focus on intentional planning for language comprehension, assessment and responsive teaching, and using storytelling. EC-KG HR teachers and TAs, as well as some LS, EAL, Library teachers and coaches, are participating. Special thanks go to Trinh Lu and Minh Bui to help bring Meredith here and organize the logistics of the PD days, as well as to the many TAs who will support EC-KG classes while the EC-KG TAs join the workshops with Meredith! You might expect us popping into your classroom as we tour the school on Monday and Tuesday.

Additional Support on Campus

This is a note to inform you that  Ms. Vanessa Fernandes, the itinerant Speech and Language Pathologist, will be on campus regularly to work with students. She will be using Bookroom B205 for these sessions, which typically last about half an hour per student.

A sign will be placed on the door of B205 when Ms. Fernandes is working. Please be mindful of her sessions when you enter and exit the room.
