March 24th – 28th

This week, we’re thrilled to spotlight learning journeys—a celebration of the energy, creativity, and enthusiasm our students bring to our classrooms every day. This is an opportunity for students to showcase their achievements, struggles and resilience. The energy and creativity you bring not only highlight student achievements but also remind us all of the power of thoughtful, student-centered education. Your hard work and commitment are the driving force behind these inspiring experiences, transforming everyday learning into something really special.

Last week, I facilitated verbal peer feedback sessions in some of our 3rd and 5th-grade classes, where students showcased their creative digital work. Third graders presented their newly designed websites while 5th graders shared their virtual reality environments, with classmates learning how to use guided sentence stems to offer both warm and cool feedback. Students learned to thoughtfully share suggestions with their peers. What was even more inspiring was watching students immediately return to their projects to implement the feedback, demonstrating how structured peer critique can enhance learning.

CTP Testing

The window is April 14 – 25, with make up on April 28-29 and May 5-7.
Grade level teams should complete the same test in the same window (i.e. All grade 3 teachers test Reading Comprehension on the same date at the same time.). This helps with EAL and LS coordination and tech support.
