This week brings two important events:
CTP Testing (Grades 3–5)
Students will complete assessments in multiple areas. A calm mindset helps—encourage them to take their time and trust their preparation. Please help students walk through the corridors quietly this week.
Grade 4 Spring Music Concert
Our fourth graders will perform pieces they’ve been practicing all term. It’s a chance for them to share their progress in a supportive setting. If you are free and able to join us Friday morning, please come to the auditorium.
We look forward to a smooth and focused week.

Get ready for STEAMovate SSIS, an event that spotlights innovative projects where parents, teachers, and students come together to showcase, demonstrate, and test the latest innovations in learning at SSIS. From robotics, apps, cutting-edge technology, and scientific processes, this event is all about exploring how innovation is reshaping the way we teach and learn. You can expect hands-on experiences, interactive workshops, and plenty of opportunities to witness the future of education.
CTP Testing
CTP testing begins this week. There is a small chance that the test will crash. This is not an SSIS issue and cannot be fixed by IT. If you encounter issues please let us know so we can support students who encounter this.
#DragonsIgnite
Last week, our fifth-grade students dazzled the school community during their assembly presentation, showcasing their use of virtual reality applications in learning. Students confidently guided their peers through virtual field trips they created, exploring ecosystems. Later, during my STEAMovate presentation in Grade 5SK, the students eagerly signed up to showcase their innovative projects, combining science, technology, engineering, art, and maths. Thank you Sarah for inviting me to chat with the students or to model how I use technology personally or professionally.
