I hope you all had an opportunity to do nothing. Last week our students were plenty busy but in library they had a chance to enjoy smores in their tents while reading great books. Creating moments for student to have a love of reading takes many forms and this is by far one of the most creative forms. Be sure to ask your students what they are reading.

Weekly Focus:

We are beginning a long and sustained opportunity for learning. Academic Excellence will be among the top Core Value’s in the coming weeks. We are also focusing on positive emotions. If you need any help with way to include this in your class reach out to your PDL’s or Lance or Shawn for some great ideas.

FAMILY FUN DAY

Please be sure to promote family fun day and if you are able please stop by the school on Saturday to enjoy the fun, games and community. Family fun day will run from 10:00 – 2:00.

Wednesday, Sept. 7th:

10:00 – 11:00 – LLT meeting

3:15 – 4:30 – Divisional Meeting

3:15 – 4:30 – TA meeting with Edward (Student Engagement)

Thursday, Sept. 8th:

1:30 – 3:00 – ALT meeting

Friday, Sept. 9th:

8:00 – 11:30 – 1/2 day for PDL work.

FAMILY FUN DAY

Please be sure to promote family fun day and remember faculty are expected to make an appearance. Come enjoy the fun, games and community. Family fun day will run from 10:00 – 2:00.

If you are absent from your duty (including those of you at home), it is your responsibility to ensure there is duty coverage for your assigned duty. If you cannot do this, please let Minh or me know.

PURPLE MOMENTS: Please take a moment to read the “Purple moments” that were shared last week on the right side widget! Let’s continue to focus on, and celebrate, the good things.
