Sept. 2nd – 6th

Over the last two weeks we have had the wonderful opportunity of revisiting ways that we can support the academic and social emotional needs of our students. Last week David Bott highlighted the importance of understanding each student’s unique emotional and social needs, just like tending to each flower in our garden. Remember every interaction is an opportunity to engage with our students in a positive way. As we move into this short week, let’s apply what we’ve learned. Small changes, like starting the day with a mindful moment or being more present with each child, can make a big...

August 26th – 30th

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming a Anita Churchville who supported some very good conversations around differentiated instruction. Our time with her reminded me of the importance of personalization of learning for each of our “flowers.” Hopefully you were reminded of some immediate adjustments that you can make to enhance this personalization. By recognizing the unique needs of each student, we can nurture their individual growth. This week, we shift our focus to Personal Development. Our upcoming sessions with David Bott will guide us in supporting students’ emotional and social well-being. Just as with the academic needs of...

Welcome back! As we get ready to welcome our students this Wednesday, I’m reflecting on the productive one to two weeks we’ve just spent together. We’ve set the stage for a year where every student will have the opportunity to grow in their own way. This year, our theme focuses on recognizing that each student is different, just like flowers in a garden. Our role is to provide the right environment and support so they can all thrive. The collaboration and dedication we have seen from each of you over the past weeks makes us confident that we’re ready to...

It was heartwarming to see several colleagues beam with pride as their children walked across the stage as graduates. This week, let’s continue to celebrate and continue looking ahead to SU 1 and what it will bring in August. Let’s ride the wave from all...
