Wednesday Collaboration:
This week we will begin the process of scoring the student writing assessment. This week we will be calibrating our scoring using sample essays and the assessment rubric.
MAP Testing:
Be sure to review Tina’s email regarding MAP testing schedules. If you have questions, please ask ASAP. MAP testing happens Sept. 9-11.
ASA Update:
Sign ups are in and class lists are being formed. The first session starts on Thursday, Sept. 11. Be sure to review Shelley’s email regarding the first session of ASA. We have more students signed up for the first session than last year – nice job developing the offerings!
Mid-Quarter; Friday, Sept. 12:
Mid-quarter is coming soon. At this point, parents and students should be able to gain an accurate picture of current progress. For mid-quarter, please send an email home to all students earning below a C.
Dragon Dance; Monday, Sept. 8:
The PTA has booked a Dragon dance for the Moon Festival. it will be Monday, Sept. 8th at 2:35. We will need to have Advisory/DEAR at the end of the day for that day.
New Student Parent Mtgs:
Bonnie is working to schedule parent meetings for all of our new students. Because most of you teach multiple grade levels, she is trying to schedule them so that all who teach the student will be present. Please be in good communication if something doesn’t look like it will work for you. There are a lot of moving parts, and we may have missed something. Letting us know right away means we will have an opportunity to address it.
