Friday, Jan. 16

Mandala Exhibit and Demonstration ,Thursday
All advisory groups are invited to come see a mandala in the making.  Advisors must go with their students (please be active supervisors helping manage space and viewing).  Please adhere to the following schedule:
12:55-1:10 6th Grade
1:10-1:20 7th Grade
1:20-1:30 8th Grade

Update on Hiring
I’ve been busy with Mark and Dan at the Search Fair in Bangkok over the past week/weekend.  Here is a summary of current hiring activity:
Hired:
Kattina Rabdau, Science; coming to us from Singapore American School
Brian Benck, English Language Arts/Social Studies; coming to us from American International School of Bucharest
Eric Schoonard, Math; coming to us from Franklin Academy in Connecticut

To Be Hired: 2 English Language Arts positions, 1 Science position (I do have candidates in-line for these positions, but we are still working on the puzzle)

Posting of Homework and Assignments
As we enter a new year, I’d like to remind us of a few things that we are committed to:

• Assigning homework (and explaining it) prior to students leaving the class for the day (if homework is being assigned)
• Posting major assignments to PowerSchool and Moodle 10 days prior
• Keeping Moodle well organized and up to date following our style guidelines

These commitments are very important to supporting students as they work to achieve at high levels.  Thanks for your work in this area!
