Food Committee Volunteer Still Needed:
We are still in need of a volunteer for the Food Committee. There will be 2 meetings this year. Thank you to Bonnie Bertoia and Zach Post who said they’d serve if no one else was willing … but the Food Committee meetings are on the same day as the MS Leadership Team meeting (and both are already doing so much). So if we could have someone else step up, that would be excellent! Our students deserve their voice to be represented on this committee. So please think about volunteering.

Cool Instruction / Assessment Tip of the Week
We have spent a time thinking about and learning about strong vocabulary strategies. Here is another short article that focuses on the instruction of vocabulary. In specific, the article talks about closing the vocabulary gap by focusing on active learning, making personal connection with the vocabulary, and giving structured opportunities to consolidate knowledge. Quick, and excellent read! Show and Tell: Meaningful Vocabulary Instruction
