Week Ahead: August 31

One of my professional goals this year is more timely communication.  With that in mind, I am striving to post the week ahead on Friday mornings.  This will provide a better “head’s up” for information about next week … as well as give us all a chance to think of anything that needs added 🙂

Thank you all for a great Curriculum Night.  There were loads of smiles and a palpable positive atmosphere.  The WWW meetings had the most attendees since I have been here.  Thank you all for your gracious work with parents and students.

Mandatory MAP Proctor Training: Thursday, Sept. 3 (from 3:15-4:15) we will be having mandatory MAP Proctor Training for all MS Faculty.  All faculty will be proctoring the test (or assisting in some way) and will need to be trained on the web based version that we will be using this year.  I know that some faculty will need a training a different time (from my review that includes Robert, Ana, and Brian – if your name isn’t on this list, and you can’t attend, please contact Molly).  Tina will be contacting those faculty members to schedule the time.

School Photos:  Middle school has school photos next week.  I’ve put the schedule above.  Classes should take about 25 minutes a group for grades 7 and 8; about 15 minutes a group for grade 6.  Sang will be helping us get through this quickly 🙂  I’ll be sending out an email to teachers who will be taking classes to further detail the time.  Even if you are not taking a class, we need for you to take another photo next week – these ones go in the yearbook.

Teachers Teaching Teachers:  Coming soon … TTT: The PD day featuring our very own faculty members.  Usually middle school steps right up to the plate offering most of the workshops.  I hope that this year is no different as I see so many awesome things that you all can offer your colleagues.
