International Week Update:  We have completed almost all the ES/MS match ups.  Please review the International Week Overview to ensure that you are aware of the whole school picture; and the International Week At A Glance (Middle School Focus).

Quarter Comments and Grades:  The deadlines for comments and grades is coming fast.  Please be sure to track those deadlines.  Suggestions for making comment writing easier can be found in the MS Faculty Handbook.  It is also recommended that you work with another colleague to review/proof grades.

Common Teaching Strategies: Thank you to Zach and Stacy for leading the division through a review of our common teaching strategies.  As we seek to continually push the achievement of our students, these strategies will be a major component in supporting their learning.  Thank you for your work on this.

Cool Instructional/Assessment Tip:  Hands Down!  What?!  Yep, what if we didn’t have students raise their hands to indicate they have an answer to our questions?  Would learning be improved?  Dylan Wiliams’ research suggests that it will.  Check out this articleChildren learn twice as fast if they’re banned from raising hands in class
