Stay on Top of Calendars:  This is where it gets busy!  Lots of thing are happening with special rehearsals and sports events.  Be sure to keep track of these things in your calendar as well as in your lesson planning.

MS ASA Registration:  Please have students view the MS ASA presentation during E block on Monday, Nov. 16.  This shouldn’t take more than 5-10 minutes.  The registration portal will open Monday, Nov. 16 in the afternoon.  It is important for students to register early as WWW pushed back the registration (Session 2 ASA start Nov. 23).

Mid-Quarter: Mid-quarter is Wednesday, Nov. 18.  Please send an email home to the parents of any student earning a C- or below.  Also, you should notify parents of any student who has had a significant grade change since the quarter.

Cool Instructional/Assessment Tip:  As we head into WWW, I am reminding myself that the best thing I can do during the trip is truly be in the moment.  This is a hard thing for me … I am frequently (okay … always) thinking about the things that I’m working on, what I need to do next, and even what I did sometime before that I now want to fix.  Being out of the “office” and away from my family for 5 days won’t help this 😉   But WWW is all about getting to know kids in a new way – away from all the distractions and expectations of “regular” life.  So my goal this coming week is to focus on what is right in front of me and enjoy the amazingness of our students.  For some additional thoughts on being in the moment, you might check out these articles.
