HS MRISA Basketball Tournament: This is going to be a great week. We are hosting the HS MRISA basketball tournament which means we will have teams from around the region at our school. It is tradition to have classes come out in support of these teams (in addition to supporting our SSIS teams). There are three ways that the middle school will be supporting the tournament.
1) Friday, 8:10 Morning Parade of Athletes: We’ll be lining the breezeway to cheer on the teams.
2) Friday during day – support visiting teams in their games with signs and cheering for them (min. 15 minutes at the game). Most of these games are in the MS gym. I’m hoping we can have at least 1 class at each of the games.
3) Friday during the day – support SSIS teams in their games with signs and cheering for them (min. 15 min. at the game). These games are all in the HS gym.
Here is the sign up doc for those roles. Please check through it carefully and sign up for the times you are willing to participate.

From HS Blog: Challenging Anniversary– We are coming up on the anniversary of Mizuki Orime’s passing on Sunday, February 12. This may bring up emotions for our students and you as staff. Counseling staff will be working hard to ensure student and faculty needs are met as we come up to this anniversary. Though many of our students did not know Mizuki, it could certainly bring up difficult feelings and reactions. Please report any suspected student issues to Bonnie as soon as possible. Let’s all continue to work together to support each other and our students.
