And that’s a wrap!  …

This is what I saw when I left the building on Friday at 4:45pm.  Mark S wasn’t kidding when he said workers were set to arrive and begin summer projects.  I hope though that you all take a much deserved rest before diving into what ever shenanigans you have planned for the summer!

Over the summer, here is what is happening in Bldg A:

• Remodel IT office to create new classroom (removal of staff bathroom)
• Remodel Curriculum office and library to create 2nd office
• Music Room – add acoustic panels
• Gym – new sound system, new LED lighting
• MS Office – soundproofing
• Design Lab – add new counters for stationary equipment
• Hallways – repaint, refurbish lockers
• Pool – sand filter, filter pumps, repair kiddy pool shower, new slip mats, create office for life guards
• Fish Bowl – replace AC unit
• General – replace chiller pumps, replace thermostats, repair logo and lettering on entrance sign, repair roof sheeting, refurbish loading zone and bus zones, relevel atrium, level fields

Please note that I am working on getting a replacement staff bathroom for Bldg A.  This is challenging as we needed to add a classroom due to the expansion of Grade 6 to 4 sections.  Please don’t BOO me too hard yet.

Here are a few upcoming dates to get us started for the new school year:

• July 30  Divisional LT Members first day, MS LT mtg 9-10:30
• July 31  Faculty First Day Back (Inservice July 31-Aug. 6)
• August 7  Orientation Day (MS is 1-3:00 with parents and students)
• August 8  First Full Day with Students
• August 25  Saigon Teachers Meeting Teachers (Saigon Outcast)
