  • silence during evacuation and while on the field
  • single file lines during evacuation to ensure ease of exit
  • double lines down the stairs to improve speed of exit
  • speed in regrouping by advisory (silent single file line)

PE Dance Celebration Schedules and Events: We are coming up to the PE Dance Celebration.  This is an amazing event that requires all of us to assist and support.  We will be running special schedules on Oct. 23 and 24 in support of this event.  On Wednesday, Oct. 23 we will run the early dismissal block schedule followed by lunch and then the afternoon will be a full school rehearsal.  All teachers will be required to be in the rehearsal area (auditorium) to assist with management of students.  On Thursday, Oct. 24, we will run the same basic schedule as Wednesday (early dismissal block scheduled, followed by lunch) but instead of rehearsal it will be a matinee performance in the afternoon.  Again, all faculty members will need to be on hand assisting with management of students during the matinee.  Here are the actual schedules:

Hosting HS MRISA Tournament (Oct. 31-Nov. 3): We will be supporting the HS in their on site MRISA tournament.  On Oct. 31, we will cheer on the parade of athletes (gonna be extra fun in our Halloween costumes) at 8am (regular schedule – we just show up for the parade and then return to class).  We would love for all teams to have spectators (not just SSIS teams).  With that in mind, Shelley has created an “adopt a team” sheet for attendance at games.  HS and ES classes have first priority in attendance.  If there is space available, MS classes can attend as well.  Please sign up right away to show interest and to reserve your spots.  For the overall schedule – click here: MRISA tournament schedule.

Molly’s schedule these next few weeks: There are some years where travel is limited … and some years where it is abundant.  This is one of the abundant years.  In the next few weeks, I will be often engaged in PD (this week it’s Cognitive Coaching), with the architects, or traveling.  I will ensure timely response when I am traveling and/or in PD and will be focusing my time to be available to the division when I am not.   Here is the basic schedule (italics = traveling):

  • Oct. 23-26 Cognitive Coaching
  • Oct. 29-Nov. 3  EARCOS Leadership Conference
  • Nov. 4-6  Architects
  • Nov. 8-11 Recruitment Fair – GRC Dubai
  • Nov. 14-16 School Visit – Singapore
  • Nov. 18-22 WWW
  • Nov. 26 Child Protection Training
