Last week was another amazing week – full of positive energy, service towards others, and a chance for our students to stretch beyond their comfort zones in dance. This is what it’s all about – and it took all of us to do it! Way to go team!

Morning Duty: We will continue to evaluate the need for this position. As of now, the duty runs from 7:30-7:45. Between 7:30-7:45, students who want to go to the library may do so. At 7:45 students are free to roam the building 🙂

G6 PE Dance Celebration:  The performance is combined the G7 and 8 performances on Monday, Nov. 9. G6 students will change into their ao dais during recess and Dragon Time. Based on Friday, this will take 40 minutes.  G7 and 8 advisors will depart their classrooms at 1:40 to bring their students to the auditorium. The performance should last about 20 minutes. This means the performance may run just a bit into last block. Masks will be required as we will not be social distancing. Ensure that you and your students are wearing masks before you leave for the auditorium.

Tripod Surveys: We will be asking the MS student to complete the Tripod surveys from November 9 – 18. The purpose of these surveys is to provide feedback to teachers on how they might better meet the needs of their learners.  

Administration: Two blocks are designated for the Tripod surveys each day. It is essential to give the survey on the correct date/block. Each teacher will have at least 3 of their blocks take the survey for them.  We will be using the short version of the survey that takes about 10-15 minutes. 

You will receive individual survey tickets for your students each day. Tickets for Monday are in your box. Tickets for Tuesday will be placed in your box at the end of Monday (and so on).  Here is the list of  MS blocks/courses that will be surveyed.

Guest Speaker Requests:  We are still not able to have guest speakers on campus. Continue to use virtual meetings for these opportunities.

Food Committee Rep Still Needed: We are still looking for a representative to be on the AS Food Committee. Please let me know if you would be interested.

Author Virtual Visit:  We are so excited to host Stuart Gibbs, author of The Charlie Thorne Series (one of our Dragon Books), The Spy School Series, The FunJungle Series, The Moon Base Alpha Series, and the Last Musketeer Series. Mr. Gibbs has also written screenplays and helped develop TV shows for several major networks. This virtual visit will be on November 18 at 8:00am. This is the schedule for that day:
