Author Virtual Visit:  We are so excited to host Stuart Gibbs, author of The Charlie Thorne Series (one of our Dragon Books), The Spy School Series, The FunJungle Series, The Moon Base Alpha Series, and the Last Musketeer Series. Mr. Gibbs has also written screenplays and helped develop TV shows for several major networks. This virtual visit is on November 18 at 8:00am. This is the schedule for that day:

Guest Speaker Update:  We are now able to allow a limited number of guest speakers on campus for classes (not ASA or extra-curricular activities). If you would like to apply to have a guest speaker on campus, please let me know first so I can assist you in the process. Please note that not all requests may be approved.

Assistance at Upcoming Events:  As we begin to add back events to the calendar, we are going to need some assistance to support these events and to provide student supervision. I’ll be working to consolidate the needs and then seek out support from the entire team. Great things to look forward to:

  • December 4 – G8 Drama Performance, 6pm
  • December 10 – Winter Concert
  • December 14 and 16 – G8 Drama Performance during G block for student audiences (sign ups coming soon)
  • StuCo event – type and date yet to be determined

Update from PEEC PD Opportunities: Lastly, if you are new to the PEEC Community, I’d highly recommend watching our short series of Professional Learning Videos about PEEC, in order to learn more about the curriculum. Our PEEC Website Walkthrough Webinar is also available, in order to help you feel more comfortable and confident using the online platform, and to guide you through aspects such as logging on and resetting your password.

Admissions Tours: As a result of the easing of certain campus restrictions, the Admissions office will be able to invite prospective families to tour the campus again. Katie Rigney-Zimmermann, Ms. Delma Park, and Ms. Giang Ha will be conducting the tours.

Naturally, visiting families will have to follow health protocols, ie. wear masks for the visit, fill in the health survey, and have their temperatures taken. They will also be required to have appointments. Tours will recommence from next week. Parents love it when you say hello!

[additional info from Molly: Please check around your room. Does it look the way you want your classroom to be represented? Do you have work samples that can be posted in your room and on the bulletin boards in the hallways?]

Kind regards,
