Week Ahead: Dec. 14-18

What a fun spirit week! Thank you all for your participation and encouragement to students that they participate. StuCo appreciates it!

As we head into the next week, I want to remind all of us that proactive supervision is the best way to get through a high energy, high stress time. Our students are having all kinds of feels … we are having all kinds of feels … this holiday season will be very different for many of us; and if it isn’t different, it’s still an intense time. So let’s all work together, in the halls during all passing times, intervening before things happen, redirecting when things happen, and sharing when students need more support than that (between Roxanne, Hillary and I, we can do a lot of tune ups and check ins).

Winter Celebration:  We are busy getting the final details and logistics organized for the final day of Semester 1. Thank you to all who are running activities, helping get things sorted and arranged, and for all of you who will be pitching in on this event. Please note the schedule for the day. We will need to meet on Wednesday at 3:15 to review plans and ensure we are all set for Thursday.

From the Nurses’ Office: On January 5 and January 6, 2021 the Seasonal Flu vaccine will be offered to all SSIS faculty and staff, free of charge and on campus. These dates are tentative but next week you will be able to sign up for a time. Please note: This Seasonal Flu Vaccine is NOT the COVID vaccine. More details to follow.
