Week Ahead: Mar. 1-5
|Congratulations to the VTC team for putting on one heck of a conference! I if you didn’t have an opportunity to attend, I highly recommend watching the keynote address by Craig Kemp. It was informative and inspirational. The future continues to be one heck of an exciting place to be heading toward! One of the questions that struck me was how do we continue to create conditions for invention and innovation? Both for ourselves and for our students. I am so thankful to be on the journey with this team!

Band Concert on Friday during Dragon Time: Striking while the iron is hot! We will be having a band concern on Friday during Dragon Time. The goal is to have a live audience for the students to perform in … we are now at 1 year without a live audience for our musicians (reminder – their Dec. concert was cancelled at the last minute due to COVID outbreak). We still have to work out how many of us can attend (will depend on social distancing requirements). We will get that out ASAP. Thank you to Roxanne and Rick for their flexibility in rescheduling the HL event schedule for this week.
Student Led Conferences: It’s time to gear up for Student Led Conferences! There are different roles for you as a teacher and you as an advisor. I will be reviewing this on Tuesday. There are two options for you to attend – AM or afternoon (see calendar above). There are no substantial changes to this year’s SLCs – but since we haven’t done them for 2 years (we missed last year due to COVID), I would like all faculty to attend one of the sessions. All advisors will be giving the presentation about SLCs to students during Dragon Time on Wednesday.

The Hover Tex is new for me and I have been enjoying it as for some reason writing has become a lot smaller lately.
