CTP Overall Testing Plan: Please review the overall CTP testing plan. In this document you will see the special testing schedule, the order of tests, and the location of tests. Please be very familiar with this document.

Sample Core Drilling: Starting Thursday, April 15 at 9am a portion of the playing field and the reception garden will be cordoned off due to sample core drilling for the foundation of the new buildings.  This will continue until Monday April 19th (time unknown). The walkways will not be obstructed and will be outside of the cordoned areas.  No noise will occur. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this.

Tracking Q4 events:  In order to assist with tracking events that might impact your planning, we are trying to list them in as many places as possible. You can find them on the Google calendars (MS Parent/Student, MS Faculty), on the blog under upcoming events, and now on the ADV/Dragon Time doc in a new row called “planning events”. There are many things that might impact your planning. We will do our best to help you know when those are coming. If you have something coming up that will impact the planning of others, please makes sure that you ensure it’s added to these calendars and documents.

Special Article on SSIS website focused on MS Advisory: Focusing on student wellbeing, our Middle School advisory program makes time for students to engage in rich social-emotional learning experiences twice a week. Read on SSIS Stories

2021-2022 House League Shirts: In an effort to reduce the amount of time between the house league shirt competition and the arrival of house league shirts on campus, we have adjusted the house league shirt competition process. In lieu of waiting until next August for students to submit and vote on shirt designs, we will do it this April. Next week, current grades 6-8 will be invited to submit a design for next year’s shirts. The first week of May, current grades 5-7 will vote for winning designs.  The shirt company will print sample shirts in early August for students to see and order during the first week of school. Shirts would arrive on campus early Sept.  Thank you to Claire, Ryan, Rick and Thao for helping to revise the HL shirt competition process.

Repeat post: STAR Screeners: We will be piloting a universal screener test in reading on May 5 and a universal screener test in math on May 12 during Dragon Time. We will provide more information closer to the test dates. If you want to learn more about in the meantime, please check out their website: Star 360
