Week Ahead: December 6-10
|Coming Back to Campus – Student Edition: So it’s happening! The first steps toward having students on campus are being taken. Grades 1, 9, and 12 … and new directives clarifying the first directive are coming too. Even though there is no middle school grades involved yet, the Leadership Team has been talking through our vision / plan for how to successfully bring our MS students back on campus. Those plans give us a flexible enough base to meet what ever decree specifications are given to us. Our mantra: slow, steady, safe. So though we don’t know what date, how many, or for what amount of time, we do know that we will meet the following goals we have set for our division:
Goals:
- Meet the social emotional needs of students as they return to campus
- Create, train, and implement safety protocols that create the safest environment possible for students and faculty
- Slowly build our capacity and practice new routines, restrictions, etc.
Another for sure is that we will be keeping the virtual school schedule (with some modifications) so that the rotation of blocks and days is stable, and Wednesdays remain consolidation days. This will enable teachers and students to move between physical and virtual realms more smoothly as needed. Another thing we know is that we have a great team of teachers who will support our students’ learning through it all. Slow, steady, safe!
