From Wanda Luinenburg – Marketing and Events Officer:

Please let me know if you are interested in helping plan for the 25th Anniversary.  It would be a short meeting to brainstorm 1-2 ways MS could be involved:  We need the support and involvement from our community to make our 25th Anniversary a great celebration.  We are planning to do something across the school every month. A (student) event or activity emphasizing the anniversary. To make all the activities fitting to our why we have come up with an overriding(symbolic) theme. Mangroves.  This should allow us to plan a variety of activities, some of what is hopefully already being planned for within the curriculum.

Parent Teacher Conferences:

The Middle School Parent Teacher Conferences will take place next month which are on Oct 13 and 14.  Please see Thao if you have questions or want to request changes.

Tech News from Daniel:

You will now see two Advisories in Power School so that you can take attendance for your Advisory partner.

ASA Reminder from Dan Long:

Just a quick reminder regarding room usage for ASAs. Our ASA program provides opportunities for our students that they otherwise can not enjoy, and are an integral part of the SSIS program. The use of classrooms, while at times inconvenient, is a priority for our ASA students after school. Sala communicates at the beginning of each ASA Season to all teachers who are impacted by ASA room usage.
If there is an issue with the way a classroom is being treated, please communicate with Sala and/or me promptly and we will resolve it. If for some reason your classroom is not available for an ASA, please communicate that early and cc your principals so that we can arrange alternate locations prior to the start of the ASA.
