SERVICE LEARNING FAIR, APRIL 5, WEDNESDAY SCHEDULE:

On April 5  we will have a slightly altered schedule to support the Service Learning Fair.

CTP:

Thank you for all your work starting students on the path to CTP.  Just to keep them handing – here are the key documents that we will be using.

From Jacob H – Requests for Surveys:

There are times when families visit doctors and specialists outside of SSIS for concerns with their children. Sometimes you may be contacted and provided with checklists/surveys that they would like teachers to complete.
In these times please send the caller and/or surveys to the student’s school counselor. It is important that these requests go through our student support system, as it protects our teachers from an overload of surveys and helps the counselors to be aware of students who are visiting with outside doctors and specialists for safeguarding and health reasons.

From Jae Jun – Safety Committee Members Needed:

Dear SSIS Faculty and Staff,  We are delighted to invite you to join our construction Safety Committee.

As always, the wellbeing and safety of our community is our primary goal, and today I am emailing to solicit interest in serving on the SSIS Construction Safety Committee.

The purpose of the Construction Safety Committee will be to monitor, report, and work toward solutions concerning any potential construction safety issues. In our bi-weekly meetings, We will discuss issues that have been reported and work on suggestions for improvements.

As Campus Building Project liaison assistant, I will participate in weekly construction site meetings with our campus’s contractor and project manager. Ms. Michelle (Facilities Manager), Ms. Hang (Campus Building Project Admin Assistant), Mr. Thanh (Site Engineer), and Wai Mun Fong (Associate Head of School) will also be present at the weekly site meetings. The information that comes from the Construction Safety Committee will be used to inform the weekly construction site meeting.

We hope to have one faculty/staff from each division and parent representatives, as well. Please email me individually if you are interested!

Best regards,  Jae Jun Kyoung
