ART PARTY:

We are so excited to be hosting this incredible event again. The last time we held one was pre-Covid, 2019. Here is a video of the 2019 Art Party. This year promises to be even more exciting with the inclusion of the Idea Center, Music, and Drama performances.

There will be FREE art workshops run by the middle school art students (grades 6, 7, and 8) for all families and staff at SSIS. Everyone is welcome.

So that the students can prepare, change and set up their stations they will need to be released early from E block on the 25th of May at 2:40/2:45pm

Here are my class lists in case you want to see which students are involved. Thank you so much for understanding and supporting this event.

Are you a musician or dancer who would like to perform on our guest stage in the plaza? If you are, or know someone who would be interested please sign up on this SHEET. They are 15min slots, you can book multiple times.

Please note: The exhibition without the workshops will remain open until the 30th of May. We encourage you to bring your students during advisory, or class to view the stunning art.

GRADUATION 2023:

Graduation for the class of 2023 will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 4:00pm at Landmark 81. We look forward to having you celebrate the SSIS Class of 2023 with us.
If you would like to attend the graduation ceremony and take transportation from SSIS to Landmark 81, please fill out this Google Form.

For the ceremony, our SSIS Faculty from all divisions will process in together at the beginning.  This is in recognition of all that each one of you has done to help our graduates during their time at SSIS.

The buses will depart SSIS at 2:00pm and head to Landmark 81.  The buses will return to SSIS after the ceremony and at 6:00pm sharp.

We hope that you will join us for this grand occasion.  Thank you for completing this form by 9:00am, Monday, May 15, 2023.

TOK EXHIBIT:

The Short Version:

It’s a busy time of year, and you might not want to read yet another long email. So here’s the skinny: You are invited to bring your class to visit the ToK Exhibition in the HS LIbrary on May 23 between 8:00-10:30 am. Sign up here if you want to bring your class. If you want the full sales pitch, more details, or you are bored and you harbour the slim hope that you might be mildly entertained, check your email from Jeff Robidoux.
