Week Ahead: May 29 – June 2

Each week seems to get better and better as we close out this year.  This past week had the final Anh Linh Love School trip, the first middle school MUN conference, the Rising 9 Step Up Day, Dragon Ambassador training, the Senior Walk Through, the return of the undeniably incredible Art Show and Party, a G7 drama showcase, and ended with an epic middle school dance and outstanding high school graduation.  .

2 PERFORMANCES DURING ADV/DEAR:

We are so excited to have the auditorium available to showcase our G6 PE students in their Vietnamese style dance as well as the music students in their final concert of the year.  Please note that on Monday and Thursday, you will be bringing your advisory students to the auditorium for these performances.  Thank you for ensuring students leave all their belongings in your room, and that you enter with them so that you can oversee their seating and behavior during the performances.

PREPARING FOR FINAL S2 GRADES/COMMENTS:

Starting Monday, comments will not be viewable to students and parents so that you can begin entering them.  You have Wednesday’s divisional time for report writing.  Comments and grades are due Monday, June 5 at 3:00.  Please remember to change all F grades to 50% F’s per our grading guidelines.

FINAL WEEK OF SCHOOL:

The final week of school is another busy week for us.  Here are some upcoming things to keep in mind:

June 5: Yearbook Distribution from 1:05-1:40, this is a celebration of the hardwork of the yearbook team.  We will distribute books in the gym.

June 6: Final HL event from 1:05-1:40, this event will be very interactive with you leading your advisory on a scavenger hunt.  Let’s keep the excitement building for this final HL event with houses so close any one can take it all!  Please keep the actual event a secret for now.

June 8: G8 Promotion – this will be held in the HS gym on June 8 from 9-10:30.  G8 students will be rehearsing in the morning on June 7 during 1st and 2nd blocks.

June 8, 1-3:00: Splash Day – this is an exciting event for the whole middle school.  Thank you to Sanny and Bryan who are leading setup for this spectacle of water.  You will want to be prepared with sunscreen, clothing you are okay with getting wet, and possibly a hat 🙂

June 9: Final day!  We will finalize the exact schedule, but it will include some time for closing out with your advisory, your grade level, and the entire division.
