Summer Ahead!

What a great end to a great year.  I hope that this post finds you getting started on all those summer plans.

Mark Sylte wasn’t kidding that a horde of workers would be descending on SSIS once you all left campus.  These photos were taken on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Each morning there are a crew of people getting last minute drinks and enjoying breakfast before work.
The frame for the coffee shop and school store went up on Saturday … demo of the guard shack started immediately.
Ripping out a part of the fence for the new guard station.
It’s real now … now we just need a name for the coffee shop!
Boxes were delivered by 4:00 on Friday. Final step to the 3 year plan for aircon improvements.
Don’t forget the regular summer jobs. Getting the back field ready for “fill.”

Some things to think about this summer include:

Faculty Follies: Maybe pick up a thing or two for “Summer of Love”
You should be able to find loads if you are in the US … it’s the 50th anniversary of the official Summer of Love.  Straight up culture, counter culture, hip aging spy … no matter your take, it’s sure to be fun.

Ballot Closed:
Congratulations to our newest Leadership Team representative in the At-Large Rep spot:  Eric Schoonard!  Thank you so much for taking the time to vote before departing for the summer.
