It’s been a fantastic first week.  So much energy, so much care, so much fun!  The careful planning you put into making these first days a positive learning experience for our students has been so evident.  It’s clear we have a great team in the middle school!  It’s going to be a great year!

20th Anniversary Photo:  This photo will take place at 8:10 on Friday.  We will be forming the shape of the number 20.  Students will report to Block E as normal.  Once you have taken attendance, we’ll be reporting to the field.  I’m not sure yet where we are to stand.  As soon as that information is put out, I’ll make sure all of us are clear on what to do once we get out there.

New eBoards:  You may have noticed the new LED display boards around the school.  We have one in the MS Library.  These are going to show all school and divisional slides.  If you have an event you would like displayed on the board, please email me.  Keep in mind that I have to turn in completed slides by 1:00 each Thursday for them to be displayed in the following week.  So it isn’t for last minute announcements – but will be great for things that are upcoming.

Supervision, Committees, and Chaperoning: If you haven’t already, please take a look at the supervision schedule.  You will notice that there is a schedule for Week 1 and for Week 2.  This is so you will have a prep before any lunch duty and a prep before or after any morning duty.  Not everyone has had a chance to sign up for a divisional committee:  Each MS faculty member is needed to ensure a successful school year of events, happenings, and fun! With all of us carrying the load, the burden isn’t too great for any one of us!

Cheers for StuCo and Study Zone:  Huge thank you to Stacy Crowell agreeing to be StuCo advisor.  They are going to blossom under her mentorship.  Another huge thanks to Erin Johnson for taking on Study Zone and Katelyn Cook for volunteering to assist in Study Zone.  Our lovely executive function challenged students definitely need all the support they can get!

Bus Routes:  Just in case you missed it – here is the bus schedule for morning and afternoon pick ups.  If your residence isn’t on the pick up list (and it is in Phu My Hung), just email Vy (vtran@ssis.edu.vn) to get it on the route.
