Week Ahead: May 28-June 1

So much great stuff … SO. MUCH!  Thank you all for making the final weeks of school so spectacular.  This was a great week … and next week will be amazing too.

One thing for all of us to keep in mind is that though exciting, it is stressful for our students.  This stress may ooze out in strange and atypical ways.  Proactive monitoring, redirection, time outs, and deep breathing exercises are all good go-to’s for helping our wonderful students deal.  We’ve already seen an up tick in behaviors … thank you all for the work you do to support our students.

Final Week Schedule:  Please check out the Final Week Schedule.  Please review the schedule on June 6 in particular.  Please let me know if as a grade level team, you want a different schedule.  That day’s schedule can be adjusted if needed.

Master Schedule: Thank you for the critical eyes looking at the master schedule.  A few problems were found.  One has been fixed … the other … I’m still working on it.

Student and Teacher Check Out:  We will start the check out process this week.  Students will receive an email on Tuesday from the book room reminding them of what is checked out to them.  Teachers will also receive an email detailing the books checked out to them.  If you are collecting books for the class, please work with Trinh Le.  If you want students to turn in their books directly, Trinh will be in the MS on Wednesday, May 30th.  For the full end of the year check out for students will start on June 4.  See email from Trinh for more information.
