Check on Grade Books:  We are 4 weeks into the schools year.  It’s time to really check through how you are entering student feedback into PowerTeacher Pro.  Based on our Grade Reporting Guidelines, there should be at least 2 feedback marks in the grade book.  Thank you all for attending to ensuring students and parents are updated on how things are going so far.

Repeat: Announcements in 1st Block: Now that we are not having advisory every day, it is very important for us to review the announcements each morning in first block.  You can access announcements through PowerSchool Learning; and here is the link as a shortcut: Daily Announcements.

Repeat: New Family Check In’s:  We are working to schedule meetings with all new families.  This is an amazing effort that will involve all of us – and is an important part of ensuring that all new students and families feel supported in their transition process.  Bonnie and Hang will be working to schedule these so that in each meeting we will have admin, counseling, and at least 1-2 teachers.  We will attempt in include all faculty members in an even distribution. We will post all meetings.  If you are interested in attending additional meetings, just let Bonnie and/or Hang know.  With over 40 new students, this is a big task, but an important one.  Thank you for supporting this!

From our Divisional Mtg – MS PSL Landing page:  Initially the PSL landing page will be the Course Overview page so that students and parents can easily find information about the course in which they are enrolled. This is extremely useful at the beginning of the year.   After Curriculum night it is appropriate for the landing page to change to the current unit of learning.
Teachers may change the order of their PSL class pages so that the current unit is at the top of the menu – therefore making it the landing page. This helps direct students because they have to make fewer clicks and they land on the content you are currently studying.  The Course Overview page should remain active at the bottom of the page menu.

Logos and Brand Identity (from Katie R-Z, Director of Marketing): Brand identity guidelines.  They are stored on The Link for easy access for all. Go to the left column  Handbooks- Brand Identity Guidelines.

Please note that any clothing or external use of the school logo needs to be approved by the marketing department.
