Parent Teacher Conferences:  This is such a great time to get to know our parents and talk about how we can all work together to support our students.  As you get set for Parent Teacher Conferences, here are some tips:

• Be prepared with documentation formatted in such a way that you won’t accidentally share information about another student
• If you have concerns to share with a parent, have an equal number of positive things to share as well
• Take care of your own personal needs – there will be food, and make sure to have plenty of water
• Bring your new cutlery set for dinner on Thursday!
• Be in the gym 15 min. before the start time

We will be tracking attendance at the conferences in time chunks.  I will go over this at our divisional meeting on Wednesday.

Taking Attendance Every Block/Period, Every Day:  It is essential that attendance is taken each block within the first 10 minutes of class.  In looking at the daily attendance summary sent out each afternoon, that we can certainly improve in this.  This issue also came up during our final evacuation training (we couldn’t accurately complete the check in because attendance hadn’t been taken by all teachers).  Thank you for attending to this very important responsibility.
