Comments and Grades:  Please pay particular attention to the due dates.  Report cards will be run at 2:00 on Friday. No one can be late on the verification reports.  No grace this time as tech will be waiting on us to run the final reports and email them out before they can leave for Break.  So, if you can complete them early, please do so.  Also please note that comments are live from the moment they are entered.  I highly recommend drafting comments in a google doc or in Word prior to putting them in PowerSchool.

Sports Day: Special schedule for Sports Day: shortened classes in AM followed by first part of sports day, lunch, and final part of sports day.   Here is the schedule:

  • 8-8:25 A Block
  • 8:30-8:55  B Block
  • 9-9:25 C Block
  • 9:30-9:55 D Block

  • 12:45-1:30 Lunch and Change to Swim
  • 1:30-2:30 Swim Relays
  • 2:30-3 Change and Wrap Up

Winter Celebration:  This Friday we will have a fabulous winter celebration.  Thank you to the committee for their work in planning it.  We will send out an email on Thursday with the final details and assignments for the day.  All faculty members will have a role to play in supervision.  Here is the overall schedule for that:

  • 8-8:05 Attendance in Advisory
  • 8:05-9:30 Gingerbread House building in cafeteria
  • 9:30-9:45 Break and Clean Up
  • 9:45-11:40 Santa’s Workshops
  • 11:45-12:15 Assembly in Auditorium

Ending Semester and Sick Students:  We have several students who have been out the entire week after WWW.  Please think about how these students can successfully end the semester – what can be excused, what must be done, how to balance the student’s work load in the 3 days before grades are due.  Please reach out if you have questions.  Advisors should assist with managing this.

The following students have been ill the whole week after WWW:
1. Danny RS, G6
2. Kiara N, G6
3. Iva M, G6  (her teachers have already discussed her situation)
4. Ellery Y, G8

Return from break, January 7: Not to rush break or anything, I want to make sure you have a clear idea of the schedule for the first day back from break.  There will be a full faculty/staff meeting from 8-9 (Vision 2030) followed by the next alignment meeting from 9-11.  The remainder of the day is for teacher planning.

And as promised (but a bit late):  Here is are some of the photos from the amazing concert Stephen Ada assisted in conducting.  Yes, there were stage fireworks and epic camera angles.
