Week Ahead: Jan. 24-28

It’s been a quick two weeks since Winter Break, and it’s just 4 more days next week before we get to celebrate Tet.  Thank you all for the amazing work you have done bringing students back to campus, supporting students virtually, and supporting each other.  Please continue to share what you need, ask great questions, and provide suggestions for improvement in the way we approach our work and programs right now.

Happy Tet!  On Thursday, we will be moving our assembly to the end of the day so that it will coincide with the Dragon Dance that will be coming through the halls.  When the Dragon Dance makes its way to the MS, we will (hopefully) finishing our assembly and can spread out along the halls to see and cheer on the dancers.  So after lunch the schedule will be:
1:05-2:20 Block H
2:30-3:00 Assembly and Dragon Dance

Tech Items to Help:  If you would like to use a Laptop Stand and/or a Wireless Keyboard and/or a Wireless Trackpad with your school laptop, please go to the ICT Office in the basement to check out whichever item(s) you would like to use. These are available on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE basis.  Please see Khiem (can enter a helpdesk request) to check them out to you. They will need to be returned at the end of the school year as part of the checkout process.

Attendance Physical and Virtual: Duong is working really hard to manage and track attendance right now.  In order to continue to support our expectation that students who are physically able to come to campus do so, she is calling any student who “should” be physical but shows up virtual.  Your attendance information is essential for this to happen.  One thing of note – there have been a few questions about whether we will require students who are in HCMC to attend physically.  The current regulations from the government specifically say it is the parent’s choice whether to attend school physically or not.  So we can’t force them to attend, but we are asking them to make a choice of physical or virtual.  So far, we only have 1 student in HCMC whose parent has chosen virtual school rather than physical school.

Schedule for after Tet: As shared at the divisional meeting, we will be following this schedule once we return from Tet.
