Central Location for Details about Events:

In order to help all of us keep track of event details, Roxanne and I will be using the Advisor, DEAR, Dragon Time & Events Overview document as a place to find all the information in one place.  It is listed on the row “Special Events.”  I will continue to put the information on the blog and send reminders, but you can also find it there in the same location as the advisory lessons.  On some days, we will alter the order of things after lunch by having the block first and then advisory at the end of the day.  On several days, we will be running a special schedule for single grades to allow for events to happen and still have all blocks on a given day.  There will be a few conflicts created by doing that – but we will work with teacher to ensure coverage for the conflicting classes:

  • 8-9:00 Block 1
  • 9:05-10:05 Block 2
  • 10:10-11:10 Block 3
  • 11:15-12:15 Block 4
  • 12:15-1  Lunch
  • 1-3:00 [special event]

Schoology Back-Up and Exporting (Returning and Non-Returning)

An early reminder for returning teachers: You will need to backup all or some of the unit content from your courses for next year. Many of you are already completing this work for assessments and activities. However, you may want to capture the flow of the folder. Please follow the steps found in this tutorial here: Schoology Materials Back-Up Process.

If you are leaving SSIS and going to another school using Schoology, follow the details on this Schoology support page for what to do in this situation.  If you are going to a school that uses a different Learning Management system, please come and see me, and I can help you export and import content.

MS Unit Documentation Tracker

A reminder to review the MS Unit Documentation Tracking by Department to update your current progress and receive feedback. We are super impressed by the hard work you have put in to complete this process and want to make sure you have enough time to get the feedback you need.
