December Assessment/Project Calendar: Building systems to support high achievement in students is important.  One critical step is to ensure that major assessments and projects aren’t piled on top of each other.  December represents a crunch time for this as all courses are usually wrapping up for the semester.  To assist, we will be using an Assessment Planning document for each grade level to make sure we are aware of their “big picture.”  Please add your information to the December Assessment/Project Calendar for each grade.  Working together, we can ensure students have the best chance to show us their best work.

Dec. 18 Schedule and Events:  We are working to finalize the whole schedule, but at this point we are looking at an all division gingerbread house building contest followed by a rotation between Santa’s Workshop (fun activities in the gym) and Hour of Code.  We will end with an assembly featuring a live staff skit/dance and fun awards from the previous activities.

Staff Skit/Dance: Please join us in an easy … and very fun … staff skit/dance to be performed during the assembly on Dec. 18.  This is a long standing tradition we hope all of us will join in.  We will have our rehearsal on Dec. 16 during the divisional time.  Sneak Peak?  Check out this link … pick your favorite move 🙂
